The Ultimate Disneyland Packing List
We are in the single digits! Only 4 days until we leave for another adventure at Disneyland!
For those of you that know my husband Brian and I, you know that we are some of the biggest Disnerds around. We try to go to the park as often as we can and we’ve become pretty good at handling 18 hours of Disneyland fun each day. One thing I’ve learned is that to have a magical day, you’ve got to pack a magical suitcase with all the essentials
Today, I’ll be going through what I pack for a trip to Disneyland.
What I Bring into the Park
1. Small Backpack or Fanny Pack – Disneyland lets you talk small bags on the rides. Fill your bag up with snacks so that you don’t spend a fortune on food at the park.
2. Sunscreen – Lather that beautiful skin of yours and keep reapplying throughout the day, even if the weather seems mild. Getting burned will suck all the fun out of your trip and there are a million other benefits to wearing sunscreen!
4. Ziploc bags – To protect your phones and belongings during water rides.
5. Emergency cash– You know, for emergencies…
6. Credit/Debit Cards, ID, and Park Passes
7. Chapstick – I still use lip smackers like nobody’s business
8. Water Bottle – Put it in your backpack and fill it up in New Orleans Square at the Mint Julep.
9. Gum – I’m an avid gum chewer. They don’t sell any in the pack so BYOG. Just make sure it ends up in the garbage!
11. Hair Ties & Bobby Pins – You never know when you will need them.
What I Bring in General
1. Spray On Deodorant– Spray this on your feet to help prevent blisters.
2. Super Comfy Pajamas – You’ll be tired at the end of the day. Trust me, comfy PJs will make the sleep that much sweeter!
3. Deodorant – If you can read this, you should probably be wearing deodorant. You’ll be around people all day, so be kind and wear deodorant.
4. Make Up – Even though you are beautiful already!
5. Hair Tools and Products – Most hotels have hair dryers, but you may want to call to make sure you don’t need to pack one.
6. Lotion & Skincare Products – No one wants to walk around in dry skin!
7. Underwear – Cotton based so that you’re comfortable all day long
8. Socks – I prefer light weight socks that my feet won’t get hot in. Remember: Heat = Sweat and Sweat + Rubbing = BLISTERS.
9. Small Earrings – I feel naked without earrings, so I bring small studs that can’t get caught on anything.
10. Comfy Clothes – You can look cute AND be comfortable! When packing, make sure that you pack clothes you can move in. You’ll be getting in and out of rides all day, so you probably don’t want to wear those jeans that you have to lay down to put on…
Some of my go-to articles of clothing are:
-Skirts (with shorts underneath for modesty)
-Stretchy shorts
-Leggings
-Stretchy jeans made with light weight fabric
-Shirts that I won’t fall out of all day
-Sports bra (Or the comfiest bra you have!)
-Clothes that dry quickly. There’s nothing worse than walking around in wet clothes all day.
11. Comfortable Shoes – On my longest day at Disney, my phone said that I walked over 21 miles! Bring comfy shoes with good support. Your feet will thank you!
12. Bandaids and Neosporin – I do my best to prevent blisters, but sometimes they do happen. Pack some bandaids and if you do get blisters, keep your bandages clean and dry.
EXTRA PACKING TIPS
1. Save space in your suitcase – Plan out your outfits for the days you’ll be in the park. Fold up each outfit and put each in a gallon sized ziplock bag. Sit on the bag so that your clothes are as flat as possible and all the air has been squeezed out. Seal up the bag. Voila! A simple vacuum sealed bag that takes up less space in your suitcase. Every morning you can grab a bag and know exactly what you are wearing. After you’ve worn the outfit, fold it back up and seal it back up in the bag using the same process.
2. Don’t take things you don’t need – You will regret taking 12 extra shirts. Trust me, I’ve been there. Plan your days out accordingly and think of the things that will make your trip more comfortable. If you don’t think you’ll use it, you probably won’t so leave it at home!
3. Ziplock bags are your friend – I use ziplock bags to pack pretty much everything! From my clothes to my toiletries, my shoes and undies, these babies help me to stay organized and keep everything neat. Ziplock bags are especially helpful for packing your shampoo, conditioner, and anything else that could leak all over your clothes (been there!).
And there you have it! Now you can pack for your trip to Disneyland like a pro! Leave me comments below and let me know what your must have items are when going on a trip!

I love the ziplock bag idea. I’ll use that for my next trip and see if it helps me stay more organized, and pack less…
